Each time you collect a cell, you’ll instantly gain a permanent increase to your health, armor or ammo capacity. No destroyed saves because you reloaded something and it rewrites your quick/autosave, no lost progress etc. The most powerful upgrades to your progression in DOOM (2016) are the Argent Cells. Just finish the level, replay, pick your collectible, exit and continue the game.Īlso good for masteries unlocking and such if you can't find good opportunity to do them in later levels but you already want them where you are. It's always better to finish it and then replay it to do what you wanted to do when you though you need level restart.

So just replay mission at any time and you will see what happens.Īnd NEVER ever reset your level for whatever reason. And 'continue' checkpoint is completelly separate one. Weapons, upgrades, runes, masteries, upgrade points and such are saved in one 'file'.
